Accessibility statement
Last reviewed
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA on madcoolhifi.com. We check it with automated testing (axe-core, WCAG 2.2 AA rules), contrast and touch-target measurements, and a keyboard pass, at desktop and phone widths.
What the latest review covered
- The home page, the audit, pricing, brands and dealer locator pages, one brand page, one dealer page and this page, at 1440px and 390px wide.
- Text contrast, including text over images, the map and gradients, measured on the colours actually painted; links inside text that are told apart by more than colour; touch targets of at least 24px; page landmarks and headings; and the cookie notice and chat button kept clear of each other’s controls.
- Motion: when your device asks for reduced motion, those pages run no animation. The looping demonstrations on the pricing page pause after five seconds.
Known limitations
- Dealer pins on the maps cannot be reached with a keyboard. On the dealer locator, the list beside the map is the keyboard route: each entry opens a card on the map with directions and a link to the dealer’s page, and that card comes before the list in keyboard order.
- The animated background on wide screens and the glow on the logo keep moving while the page is open. They stop when your device asks for reduced motion, but the site has no pause control of its own.
- The chat button in the lower-right corner comes from a third-party widget. On a phone, while the cookie notice is open, it covers the right-hand end of the text beneath it; answering the notice moves it back to the corner.
- The signed-in client portal and member pages were not part of this review.
