Founded in 2018 by Valerio Cora in Scarborough, Ontario, Acora Acoustics builds loudspeaker enclosures from CNC-machined granite — a material the Cora family has worked with in the dimensional stone industry for over 50 years. Enclosures are cut to tolerances under 0.1mm and bonded with a proprietary epoxy, resulting in cabinets of exceptional mass and near-zero resonance. The flagship VRC, a granite floorstander with dual 12-inch woofers and a beryllium tweeter, retails at $218,000 per pair.
