about fezz audio
Fezz Audio was founded in 2015 by the Lachowski family in Białystok, northeastern Poland, as the amplifier arm of a business that already wound transformers. The company grew out of Toroidy, the family's toroidal-transformer manufacturer, which gave Fezz an unusual starting advantage: it builds the output and power transformers at the heart of every amplifier itself rather than buying them in. The range is built almost entirely around tubes. Integrated amplifiers span the EL34- and KT-based Silver Luna and Titania models, the Sagita line, and the larger Mira Ceti and Torus monoblocks, with the Equinox DAC extending the line into digital. Designs favor point-to-point wiring, exposed transformer covers, and a color-finished steel chassis that has become a visual signature. Fezz sits in the value end of the imported-tube-amplifier market, competing with other European and Asian valve makers on build quality and transformer pedigree at prices below the established high-end names. US distribution runs through Bluebird Music, which has placed the line with more than a hundred dealers. Review coverage is broad for a second-tier import: Twittering Machines, Positive Feedback, SoundStage Ultra, and Wall of Sound have all covered the amplifiers, and Stereophile reviewed the Equinox DAC. Every unit is designed and assembled in Poland, with the transformers wound in-house by the family operation that predates the amplifier brand.
