about göbel high end
Oliver Göbel founded Göbel High End in 2003 after working as a loudspeaker engineer, building the company around patented bending-wave driver technology rather than conventional cone-and-dome arrays. The bending-wave transducer is the engineering signature of the brand and underpins its full-range designs. The current line is anchored by the Divin loudspeaker series. The Divin Marquis is the more attainable statement model at roughly $80k; the Divin Noblesse runs to roughly $220k, with the Divin Majestic and Divin Sovereign subwoofer above. Earlier Epoque models used the bending-wave full-range driver directly. Göbel also manufactures a complete line of high-end cables and stands, treating cabling as part of the same cost-no-object system approach. In the US, Göbel competes at the same tier as Wilson Audio, Magico, Rockport, and YG Acoustics, and is regularly named in that company. The Divin Marquis earned a Stereophile Class A Full Range rating, and The Absolute Sound has reviewed the Divin Noblesse and Divin Sovereign. US distribution is handled by Bending Wave USA in Florida, run by Elliot Goldman, which supports the dealer network and show presence. Production is in Alling, near Munich, Germany, where Göbel moved into a purpose-built factory in 2022. Loudspeakers and cables are built in-house.
