about master fidelity
Master Fidelity is the consumer-facing continuation of the well-known Merging+NADAC line, operating as Merging Fidelity Inc., established in 2015 in Vancouver, British Columbia. After Merging Technologies was acquired by the Sennheiser Group in 2022 and refocused on the professional market, the Canadian development team rebranded as Master Fidelity to finish the next-generation NADAC project and bring it to audiophile buyers under its own name. The current range is led by the NADAC D, a network-attached DAC built on RAVENNA/AES67 audio-over-IP, paired with the NADAC C master clock for the reference configuration. The lineup carries forward the studio-grade conversion and clocking heritage of the original NADAC while being completely redesigned for the consumer high-end market rather than the professional one Merging stayed in. Master Fidelity competes in the upper tier of standalone DAC and digital-front-end electronics, against the likes of dCS, MSB, and other network-DAC specialists, leaning on the NADAC reputation and its professional-conversion pedigree. US distribution and sales run through GTT Audio. The NADAC D and NADAC C have been reviewed by HiFi+ and pt.audio in 2025, and the predecessor Merging+NADAC carried Stereophile coverage, giving the line a documented review history across both eras. The company is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, where the original Merging consumer-development team continues the work.
