about neotech
Neotech is a Taiwanese cable manufacturer based in Taipei, founded in 1991. Its defining credential is process, not styling: Neotech is one of only three producers licensed to make OCC conductor — Ohno Continuous Cast copper and silver, the single-crystal casting method developed by Professor Ohno of the Chiba Institute of Technology. That license means Neotech draws its own raw conductor in-house and also supplies wire to other well-known audiophile cable brands, making it an upstream specialist as much as a finished-product maker. The catalog covers the full chain: UP-OCC copper and silver interconnects (such as the NEI-3001 line), speaker cables, power cords, tonearm and headphone wire, and bulk conductor sold by the meter for DIY builders. That bulk-wire business is a real part of the brand's identity — Neotech sits at the center of the DIY and custom-cable community, where its conductor is a known quantity. Neotech competes on the value-and-materials axis against both finished-cable brands and other OCC suppliers — buyers come to it for licensed single-crystal conductor at prices well below the boutique-cable tier. In the US it is distributed by Capativa Tech of Vista, California, and the wire is also sold through DIY-focused outlets including VH Audio. Press coverage spans Stereotimes, Wall of Sound, and Head-Fi. Cable and conductor are manufactured in Taiwan.
