about omega audio concepts
Omega Audio Concepts is an Italian ultra-high-end electronics and cable maker, founded in 2013 in the Prosecco country of northeast Italy, though the underlying research dates to 2001 when co-owner Renato Filippini designed his first loudspeaker. The brand is one of a small number of companies that builds an entire hi-fi chain in-house — from digital source through amplification to the wiring between components — rather than specializing in a single box. The construction signature is silver internal wiring and heavy machined-aluminum chassis work. The product line spans CD players and DACs, line and phono sources, monoblock and stereo amplifiers, and a full connection-systems range of interconnects, speaker cables, and power cords. The system-chain approach lets the brand voice each link against the others, which is how it presents itself at shows. Omega Audio Concepts sits in the niche-but-real tier of imports: small-volume, reviewer-known, exhibited internationally rather than carried widely. It travels with Alsyvox ribbon loudspeakers at shows including Munich and the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest, where the combination has anchored demo rooms. Named-press coverage includes an "Out of the Box" feature in hi-fi+ and Stereophile show write-ups from RMAF. In the US it reaches buyers through Cake Audio, the joint Alsyvox/Omega dealer that ran the RMAF 2018 and 2019 demos. Design and manufacturing are based in Italy.
