about organic audio
Organic Audio is a Danish cable brand launched in 2009 by the owner of Argento Audio, the ultra-high-end Danish cable maker founded in 1991. The premise is to take the conductor geometry and construction knowledge developed for Argento's reference silver cables and execute it in pure copper instead — bringing the same design thinking, including cryo-treated hyper-elliptic edgeless quasi-ribbon conductors, to a more attainable price point. It is a deliberate copper-line sibling to a silver-line parent, not a separate engineering effort. The range is a focused cable catalog: interconnects, speaker cables, and power cords built on the shared copper-conductor architecture. Because the design lineage is shared with Argento, the line is positioned as a way into that house sound without the silver-cable cost. Organic Audio sits in the niche-but-confirmed cable tier: known to enthusiasts and reviewers, with US presence and named-press coverage, competing in the boutique-cable conversation alongside its own parent Argento and makers like Crystal Cable and Audioquest's upper lines. In the US it is distributed by Musical Artisans of Skokie, Illinois. Named-press coverage includes a HiFi+ review by Alan Sircom (Issue 84), while sister brand Argento Audio has been reviewed in The Absolute Sound and 6moons. Cables are designed and made in Denmark.
