about sbooster
Sbooster was founded in 2010 in the Netherlands by Wiebren Draaijer and Karin Hoks around a single idea: the stock switching power supplies that ship with most audio components are a weak link, and replacing them with a quiet linear supply audibly improves the gear they feed. The company designs and develops its products in-house in the Netherlands. The core product is the BOTW P&P ECO linear power supply — "Best of Two Worlds, Plug & Play" — now in a MKII version, sold in voltage ratings to match common DACs, streamers, network switches, phono stages, and other low-current source components. The range is rounded out by upgrade modules and accessories that extend or refine the base supply, keeping the focus narrow rather than spreading across full electronics. In the market, Sbooster occupies the established accessory tier: a recognized upgrade-PSU specialist competing with the linear-supply offerings from larger electronics brands, well known to enthusiasts chasing incremental gains but not a flagship-recognition name. US distribution is handled by Upscale Audio and Music Direct, two of the larger specialist dealers. The line has earned named-press recognition, including a Positive Feedback Brutus Award in 2019 and coverage in Hi-Fi Choice. Products are designed and developed in the Netherlands.
