about jamo
Jamo was founded in Denmark in 1968 and spent more than five decades as a recognized Danish loudspeaker brand, including the 2005 to 2024 stretch under Klipsch and VOXX ownership. In 2024 VOXX sold the Jamo and Energy names to its Chinese partners Rayleigh Lab and Cinemaster, and the brand is now being relaunched under that ownership, with Xiaodong Yang of Cinemaster and Thomas Li of Rayleigh Lab driving the effort. The relaunch centers on two new loudspeaker families, Concert Legacy and Concert Element, making their public premiere at HIGH END Vienna 2026 ahead of an August 2026 retail arrival. A Jamo HYG Bluetooth speaker line has also been shown. Design work involves Danish hands including the HarritSorensen agency, and the company frames development as rooted in Denmark with manufacturing split between Denmark and China. Jamo competes in the Danish-heritage loudspeaker field alongside names like Dali, Dynaudio, and System Audio, though the relaunch is still proving where the new product lands. In the US, legacy Jamo-by-Klipsch product continues to sell through Amazon, while distribution for the new Jamo Holding lineup is still being established. Coverage of the relaunch is confirmed in What Hi-Fi? and audioXpress. The brand's heritage and design are Danish, with production handled in Denmark and China under the new ownership.
